Elder Selection Form – Available Monday, March 17 – Deadline for turning in this form is noon on March 30

  • Electronic Form – Members will receive an email on Monday, March 17 with a link to this online form. You must be logged in to Hillcrest Connect to complete the online form.
  • Printable Form – Download, print, and complete this form. Then trifold it with the signature side showing, and place it in one of three Elder Selection Form drop boxes located at the Chapel entrance, Southwest Foyer, or at the back of the auditorium by noon on Sunday, March 30, 2025. There are paper forms also available by the drop boxes, as well as in the church office.

Elder Nomination Form – Deadline for this form was Jan. 6, 2025

  • Electronic Form (Enter your nominations from your computer, phone or tablet.)
  • Print Form (Print the paper form and enter nominations manually.)

Scriptural Objection Form – Deadline for this form was March 2, 2025
Print this form, complete it, and place it in one of three Elder Selection Form drop boxes located at the Chapel entrance, Southwest Foyer, or Bacon Street Foyer by March 2, 2025. There are paper forms available at these entrances as well as in the church office. See Qualities of the Biblical Elder handout.

Elder Selection – January 2025

Starting January 5, each of the Hillcrest elders will be teaching the following lessons in the adult Bible classes on Sunday mornings.

Additional Elder Selection Process Calendar

  • January 5 – Introduction of Elder Selection Committee
  • January 5 – 26 – Preaching/Teaching on qualities, qualifications and work of elders
  • January 26 – Elder Nomination Forms due
  • February 16 – Nominees introduced and call for scriptural objections
  • February 17 – March 30 – Nominee Information Sheets available
  • March 2 – Period for scriptural objection ends at 5:00 p.m.
  • March 16 – Elder Selection Forms distributed (email or paper forms)
  • March 30 – Last day to submit Elder Selection Forms by 12:00 noon
  • April 6 – Announce additional elders to congregation
  • April 13 – Confirm additional elders in the morning assembly followed by all church luncheon
