Wilderness Trek 2021

NOTABLE DATES:

Sunday, June 27 – Signed Dr. Notes in Lance’s Hands
Wednesday, June 30 – Complete All Wilderness Trek Forms through Flybook
Thursday, July 1  – Balance Paid in Full
Wednesday, July 7 – Mandatory Team Meeting to discuss last minute details (6:00pm @ Hillcrest)
Sunday, July 11 – Depart for New Mexico


Student Participants:

  1. Now is the time to be gathering your supplies for Wilderness Trek! You should have a complete packing list in your student handbook that was given to you at our first team meeting. If you do not have one, you can access the student handbook here.
  2. Please remember to schedule a doctors appointment and get your signed doctors note (also in the student handbook).
  3. It would be wise to do some cardio for the rest of June and the first couple of weeks of July leading up to the trip so that you’re ready to be in the mountains! If you have any questions, don’t be afraid to contact me!

Adult Leaders:

  1. Now is the time for you to be gathering your supplies for Wilderness Trek! You should also have a complete packing list in the student handbook as well (see above if you need access to the handbook).
  2. Please get your doctors appointments scheduled and get your signed paperwork to me ASAP!
  3. Please complete your background check form and the sexual abuse awareness training video (both from Hillcrest). Contact me if you need links.
  4. Get some cardio in before we leave.

Parents:

  1. Help your students be prepared for the trip. Please ensure they have all of their items from the packing list. You might need to order some things…please allow for plenty of shipping time.
  2. Doctors appointments! Everyone MUST have signed doctors notes. Please make sure your student gets this done.
  3. Payments are made to HILLCREST (not Wilderness Trek). To make payments please see the instructions listed below.
  4. There is a mandatory meeting scheduled for Wednesday July 7 (the Wednesday before we leave) to answer questions and ensure that we have all of our bases covered ahead of departure.
  5. We will depart early Sunday morning, July 11th from Hillcrest Church of Christ.


Making Payments

Payments for Wilderness Trek should be made to Hillcrest Church of Christ, please do not pay Wilderness Trek directly. You can make payments in the following ways:

  1. In Person – Drop by the church office between Monday and Friday (8:00 a.m. to 12:00p.m., & 1:00p.m. to 5:00p.m.) and pay in person.
  2. Online – Click here to make payments online through our website. Enter the amount you would like to pay. For “Gift Type” choose “Give One Time”. Select “HYGEVENTS” from the Fund dropdown menu, then in the memo line please write “Wilderness Trek – (family name)”
  3. Text to Pay – From your smartphone text HILLCRESTGIVE to 77977 and follow the text prompt instructions.
