City Square Mission Trip

This summer the middle school students (those who just finished 6th-8th grades) will be going on a mission trip to Dallas, Texas where we will serve through City Square.  City Square is a poverty relief ministry effort, and is currently operated by Harding and ACU alumni.  City Square’s mission is to fight the causes and effects of poverty through service, advocacy, and friendship.  You can read more about City Square as an organization by visiting their website.

This summer we will partner with City Square to help serve lunches to children in apartment complexes through their CitySquare Food program.  This is a government funded program to help ensure that children (under the age of 18) are given a meal to eat during the summer when low cost meals are not available at school.  Our help with this will ensure that fewer kids go hungry during the summer months.

Here are the details of our trip:

Who: 6th-8th (those that just finished these grades)
What: City Square Mission Trip
When: June 9th – 14th

We will be staying in an Airbnb house in Dallas in a very nice neighborhood off 75 near SMU’s campus.  The house is large enough to accommodate between 15 and 20 people.  For that reason we will only be able to accommodate a maximum of 15 students for this trip, so register today!
