When We Meet
Our Weekly Rhythm
Sunday Mornings – 9:00 a.m. & 10:30 a.m.
On Sunday mornings our church assembles for worship at 9:00 a.m. We gather in the large worship space with everyone from our church, and any guests that may be attending Hillcrest that week. After worship is over, our church will break for Bible classes, and all the teens will gather in the high school room between worship and class. We start at 10:30 a.m. with announcements and then break for Bible class. Sometimes we offer a single combined Bible class, but most likely we will offer split Bible classes; a middle school class and a high school class. Class typically ends by 11:30 a.m.
Sunday Evenings – 5:00-7:30 p.m.
On Sunday evenings our youth group is divide into smaller groups that meet in various locations. Our middle school students gather in various types of small group settings. Sometimes all together at the church building. Sometimes separated boys and girls in homes. We typically meet from 5:00-6:30 p.m.
Our high school students meet in Huddle Groups, and they are divide by grade level. Our 11th and 12th graders meet together, and we also have a Huddle group for our 10th graders, and one for our 9th graders. High school Huddles typically meet between 6:00 and 7:30 p.m. To find out where they meet, and how to get in touch with our Huddle Leaders, please reach out to our Youth Minister, Lance Parrish, for details.
Wednesday Evenings – 7:00-8:00 p.m.
Every Wednesday evening we offer a mid-week gathering time for our students in the gym at Hillcrest called HYG MidWeek. Typically we have a time dedicated to community building (a game, or some sort of group challenge activity), followed by a time of spiritual encouragement. All 6th-12th grade students and their friends are welcome on Wednesday evenings.
Thursday Morning – 7:00-7:45 a.m.
Every Thursday morning you can usually find about 20 of us at the north-side Chick-fil-a (on Hwy. 351) for Prayer Breakfast. We gather to eat breakfast, share in a time of fellowship, and have a prayer together before we start our day. Mornings can be tough, and we know that not everyone can make it – but we want everyone to know that they’re invited!
