At Hillcrest we want our children to develop a habit of ingesting the word of God and putting it into practice, so the Memory Verse Program and the Faithful Servant Program have been developed to accomplish this vital practice to the Christian walk. The goal for each year is to acquire a certain amount of points.

• Kindergarteners have a goal of 4 points
• First through fourth graders have a goal of 12 points.
• Fifth graders have a goal of 16 points.

These points can be earned by memorizing verses off of the Memory Verse List and completing tasks that are listed on the Faithful Servant List. A child can combine memorizing verses and completing some tasks off of the servant list to achieve their goal of points. At Promotion Day in August, Bible devotional books are awarded to the children who have achieved their goal for the year.
