The nursery and cradle roll classes are for children from birth up to age two. Infants may be brought to the nursery ten minutes before worship services on Sundays or ten minutes before class time on Wednesday evenings where they will be well-cared for and taught a Bible lesson.
Babies can learn! This short Bible Class Time, which we refer to as Cradle Roll, offers opportunities to learn using the five senses and sing about God’s creation, care, and love.
Cradle Roll class times are Sunday mornings after worship services and at 7 PM on Wednesday nights. On Sunday nights many Life Groups meet away from the building, but for those families who choose to meet at the building the nursery is open.
TLC takes place during Sunday morning worship time and is designed for children ages two through four. Parents are dismissed during the song before the sermon to take their child to TLC, which is located in the Children’s Wing. The children sing songs, learn a Bible lesson, are fed a snack, and complete a simple craft while the parents listen to the sermon. Afterward, parents pick up their children and take them to Bible Class.
Developmentally appropriate classes for children ages two to five are located in the Children’s Wing. Because children at this level learn through play, opportunities to do so are worked into the lessons for a portion of the time. Children graduate to each class as they have a birthday.
Incorporated into the Kindergarten through Elementary Curriculum is a Memory Verse Program and The Faithful Servant Program. Children recite their memory verses to the hall monitor before or during class time. In the Faithful Servant Program, children and parents are given choices of Bible Study and service opportunities they can complete in one year’s time. As they memorize scripture and/or complete activities through the Faithful Servant Program, points are earned. These two programs are designed to enhance learning and training within the home and community and in August a book will be given to those children who participated and earned the required points.
