Leadership & Staff

Elders have full authority and oversight and provide leadership in all spiritual and scriptural matters. They oversee and supervise staff, mentor the ministerial staff and communicate the needs of ministers to the other elders. Our shepherds define overall goals for the congregation and oversee the Ministry Team structure and approve leadership assignments. They delegate non-spiritual administrative activities to the Ministry Teams.

The ministerial staff reports generally to the eldership and specifically to the elder(s) assigned to their areas of ministry.

Hillcrest supports a number of mission efforts throughout the world. We also have missionaries in residence who help coordinate mission efforts and facilitate mission trips.

Ministry Teams are led by elder(s) or a ministry-team leader with assistance from deacons and other members assigned to the team. They are responsible for accomplishing the ministry’s goals in support of the elders’ broad goals for the congregation.

The administrative staff reports generally to the eldership and specifically to the elder(s) assigned to administration. They manage the church’s office and support the elders, ministers, deacons and ministry leaders in the administrative aspects of their ministries.
